The exact size the form asked for.

Indian exam and government portals want a photo at 35 x 45 mm, a signature under 20 KB, a PDF under 200 KB. SahiScan makes the file that fits — and checks it before you upload.

What you get, free

Every one of these is checkable inside the app in under a minute. Nothing here is a trial.

Rejected uploads are almost never about the document

They are about a number in a notification PDF. A photo two hundred kilobytes too large, a signature saved at the wrong dimensions, a head that fills too little of the frame. The portal says invalid and stops there.

SahiScan works to those numbers directly, then shows you a row-by-row check against the requirement so you can see the file is right before you send it.

Every tool, and when you would reach for it

Sixteen of them, all free, none of them watermarked. The examples are the ordinary afternoons people actually open this app for.

Mask your data

Cover an ID number, a photo or a QR code before you send a document on. Open it and the app marks what it found, so you tick what to hide rather than hunting for it yourself. Works on images and PDFs.

For exampleA landlord asks for your ID. You send it with the number covered.

Passport photo

A photo at the size a form asks for, with the head placed where the rule wants it. Choose a border or no border, and come back later to make the same photo at a different size without starting again.

For exampleOne photo, then the same face at 35 x 45 mm and again at 2 x 2 inches.

Signature

Sign on the screen, get a clean signature on white at the dimensions and weight a form will accept.

For exampleA form wants a signature between 10 and 20 KB. You sign once and send it.

Scan document

Point the camera at a page. Edges are found for you, the page is straightened, and you get a PDF rather than a photo of paper.

For exampleYour marksheet, photographed on a desk, comes out square and readable.

Resize to an exact KB

Set the ceiling the portal gave you and get a file under it that still looks like your document.

For exampleA 4 MB photo down to under 100 KB, still legible.

Check before you upload

Hold a file against a requirement and see it row by row - size, dimensions, format - before the portal decides.

For exampleYou see the width is wrong here, instead of after the form resets.

Photos to PDF

Several images into one PDF, in the order you put them.

For exampleFront and back of a card as a single two-page file.

Merge under a size limit

Combine several files into one PDF that lands under a ceiling, rather than merging first and finding out afterwards.

For exampleThree certificates into one PDF under 500 KB.

Split PDF

Take the pages you need out of a longer document.

For examplePage 2 of an eight-page statement, on its own.

Compress

Make a PDF or an image smaller without changing what it is.

For exampleA scan that will not upload, made small enough to.

Convert image

Change a file between formats when a portal insists on one.

For exampleA form takes JPG only and your phone saved a PNG.

ID card

Both sides of a card on one page, at the size they really are.

For exampleFront and back of a licence, printed to scale.

Print sheet

Fill a standard photo print with copies, so a shop prints a sheet instead of one.

For exampleEight passport photos on a 4 x 6 for the price of one print.

Page numbers and stamp

Number the pages of a PDF, or put a short mark across it.

For exampleA bundle that has to arrive numbered.

Copy text

Lift the text out of a photo or a scan so you can paste it.

For exampleA registration number on a screenshot, typed into a form without typos.

Zip files

Several files as one upload, when a form only offers a single box.

For examplePhoto, signature and certificate in one go.

Questions

Is SahiScan free?

Yes. Every tool is free and there is no watermark. The app is supported by ads.

Do my documents get uploaded?

No. There is nothing to upload. We never see your scans, photos or signatures, we hold no copy, and we have no way to retrieve them.

Does it work without internet?

Yes, once installed. The first scan needs a connection once to finish setting itself up; after that the tools work offline.

What size should a passport photo be for Indian exam forms?

Most Indian portals ask for 3.5 x 4.5 cm - 35 x 45 mm - with the head taking up most of the frame and a plain light background. The file size limit differs by exam, so check the official notification for your form. SahiScan holds the current figure for each exam it supports and produces the file to match.

How do I reduce a photo to 20 KB without ruining it?

Reduce the pixel dimensions first, then the JPEG quality. Doing it the other way round is what produces blocky results. SahiScan works out the pixel budget from the target size before it touches quality.

Is there an iPhone version?

Not yet. SahiScan is on Android first. An iOS version is planned.

Do I need an account?

You sign in with Google or Facebook so your profile details can follow you to a new phone. If sign-in is not working you can carry on without an account and every tool still works.
