Short version. We never see your documents. They are not sent to us and we hold no copy. You sign in with Google, and you may choose to save a few profile details so forms are quicker to fill — nothing more. The app shows ads, and the ad network sees an advertising ID.

What we do not collect

SahiScan does not collect, store, transmit, or have any access to:

Your documents are never transmitted to us or to any third party at any stage. We hold no copy of them and have no way to retrieve or view them.

What we do collect

Two things, and no more.

Your account. Signing in with Google or Facebook gives us your email address, so the app knows which account your profile belongs to. We do not receive your contacts, friends, posts, or anything else from those accounts.

Profile details you choose to enter. First name, last name, phone number, date of birth and gender. Every one of these is optional. The app works completely without them and never asks twice; they exist only because exam and government forms ask for the same details every time, and keeping them means you do not have to remember them.

These are stored against your account so they are still there if you reinstall the app or sign in on another phone. You can change or clear any of them at any time from the profile screen.

Where your files live

Files you create are kept in SahiScan's private storage, where other apps cannot read them. Signing in does not upload them. Uninstalling SahiScan deletes them permanently, and because we never received them we have no copy to restore.

Advertising

SahiScan is free and supported by ads through Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, AdMob collects your device's advertising ID. It does not receive your documents, images, or anything you scan.

You can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads.

Google's handling of that data is described at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites

Google Play services

Some features rely on components supplied by Google Play services. These are downloaded to your device once and used there. Your images are not sent to Google.

The first use of those features needs an internet connection. Everything afterwards works offline.

Crash reports

If the app crashes, a report is written to your device. The next time you open SahiScan you are asked whether to send it. Nothing is sent unless you choose to, and the report opens in your own email app so you can read it first.

Crash reports contain the error, the technical stack trace, your app version and your device model and Android version. They deliberately contain no file names, no file contents, and no identifiers that could single you out.

Contacting us

If you email us, we receive whatever you write and your email address, and keep it only as long as needed to answer.

Deleting your data

Signing out removes your profile details from the phone. To delete them from our records entirely, email us at contact@weuinnovations.in from the address you signed in with and we will remove the account and everything stored against it.

Children

SahiScan is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

Material changes will be posted here with a new date. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.
