Compare two PDFs
See exactly what changed between two versions of a file.
The problem
The portal put up a corrected notification and you already have the old one. Somewhere in eleven pages a date or a fee has moved, and reading both side by side on a phone is how it gets missed.
What SahiScan does
Pick both files. You get a list of the pages that changed, how much of each one changed, and the pages themselves with the differences marked in red.
The details that matter
- It compares what is printed on the pages, so it works on two versions of the same computer-made document: a notification reissued, a fee receipt sent twice, a certificate downloaded again. Those two files match everywhere except where they genuinely differ.
- It does not work on two photographs of the same sheet, and it says so rather than pretending. Two photos differ in every pixel - the paper sits a degree off, the light falls differently - so a comparison would light up the whole page and mean nothing. The app checks for that and tells you instead of showing you a red rectangle.
- Pages that only one of the two files has are named as that, not counted as changes. A page that is a different size in the two files is its own finding, because a document whose pages changed shape is worth knowing about whatever the words say.
- You can save just the marked pages. A forty-page document with one correction hands back one page, not forty with a red mark buried in the middle.
